Seize or release tone not inhibited by another off-hook telephone.
Step 1.
Replace hookswitch assembly. See paragraph 2-10.
If malfunction continues, go to step 2.
Step 2.
Replace circuit card assembly. See paragraph 2-11.
If malfunction continues, report to a higher level of maintenance.
